Review: 28-Day Skinny Teatox

Hello everyone, so today I'm going to review the 28-Day Skinny Teatox! I've always wanted to try a teatox to see if they really worked and to also find the benefits of them. All opinions are 100% mine and I was not paid to do/write this.
I was hopping video to video on youtube when I stumbled across a channel that talked about a teatox they tried. I was interested in what the girl had to say about them and so I started researching different ones. While I was researching I came to the realization that they were VERY expensive, and being the broke college student that I am gave up. But when I had been researching I found Skinny Teatox, the tea they had to offer was still a little expensive but not as bad as some others I found, still I decided that I should save my money. I ended up signing up for their news letter and making an account just in case there was ever a sale. Luckily there was one a few days later and it happened to be a BOGO! I was so psyched when I learned this and ordered the 28-day one immediately.
What I liked the most about this company was that they have a few different flavors to choose from, so even if you don't like the original you can try something else. They currently have the original, mint, and chocolate flavors that come in 7-day, 14-day, and 28-day packages. The original and mint tea is for every morning while the chocolate is for the mid-afternoon when you get tired and need an extra boost. There is also a nighttime tea (it comes in one flavor) that you drink every other night.
I believe I bought my tea for about $47 not including shipping, but like I said earlier I got two 28-day teatoxes because of the BOGO.  It came in the mail after five days, which was really nice and fast on the company's part.
This is what the packaging looks like:
This is what came in the package (if you follow me on Instagram you already saw this):
As you can see the morning tea is loose leaf and the nighttime tea comes in bags that are in the blue bags. It comes with two pamphlets (they both say the same thing), it instructs you on how to make it, warnings, and a whole lot of other important things.
Earlier I said there was a morning tea which is this (this is the original flavor):
After 28 days this is what is left:
There's still plenty left so I'll just use the rest whenever I get the chance. Now because it's loose leaf you need to have a tea filter. If you don't have one that's fine you can buy one on their website! I already have one so I didn't need to worry about spending more money on one.
You want to put ONE tablespoon of tealeaves in:

It says to leave the leaves in for about three minutes, I did five minutes since everyone else in reviews did that.
This is what it looks like after five minutes:
There are some leaves that got out of the filter but it's fine. The leaves will settle to the bottom and only once or twice have I gotten some in my mouth.
The nighttime tea comes in a bag and it's kind of a laxative. It will make you go to the bathroom when you wake up in the morning, but not like you're running. It's more of a, "Oh I think I need to poop but it's not an emergency", type of feeling.

Like the morning tea, I let this sit for five minutes before drinking. You can leave it in longer (for better effect) if you like but at night I get tired and impatient, so I chose not to.
This does not have any caffeine so you won't be bouncing off the walls at one in the morning!
Now onto how I actually feel about the two teas! The morning tea is great because it makes me more energized and it reduces bloating (which is why I started this). The taste was something I had to get use to because I rarely drink tea. It almost reminded me of green tea in a way and what's nice is if you can't get use to the tea you can add honey or whatever else you'd like.
The nighttime tea was yummy! I can't exactly describe the taste but it wasn't at all gross. You are suppose to drink this every other day. My problem was that sometimes I didn't go to the bathroom in the morning, which to me was weird since it was a laxative. I soon realized that at night I went (I know, TMI) and so in the morning there was nothing for me. Overall it was good because it kept me regular (ya'll suppose to poop at least once a day!).
So I took pictures everyday before I drank my tea:

So after the 28 days I didn't gain weight but I didn't lose any either. The goal for me was not to lose anything but to reduce a lot of bloating. Overall I'm a pretty healthy eater so there wasn't really any changes made to my diet. I did start to exercise just a little more but that's mainly due to me not being in school all the time. I did see the bloating decrease a lot and it did make me feel like I had more energy through out the day. This tea is all natural so I felt good about having it in my body.
The hardest thing was remembering when to drink the nighttime tea and to take pictures >.< Now that I'm not drinking this I have seen a difference, where my bloating is coming back BUT when I drink my regular green tea I don't bloat. For a few days I did have a headache because I didn't have any tea in my system (it was the caffeine I think).
Pros:
Reduces bloating
Makes you feel energized
All natural
Shipping was fast
Not time consuming
Cons:
It's expensive (unless there's a sale)
The morning tea is loose leaf (it can be messy)
Like any detox once you stop it all comes back

Would I recommend this to a friend? Sure, if you're trying to lose weight I would. If you're just trying to reduce bloating I would say just stick to green tea.
I hope you enjoyed this review and comment if you have any questions or would like me to try and review another product!

Question of the day: Have you done detoxes before, and if so which ones?
