Hello all, today I'll be reviewing Docooler's Cleansing brush! I know it doesn't look like a normal cleansing brush you would see but the concept for this is cool. This is a dupe of the Foreo Luna which you can buy at Sephora or Ulta. The Foreo Luna has a few different sizes and comes in different colors that are for different skin types. The Luna starting price is $99 and can go up to $200 easily, while this brush I'll be reviewing was bought on amazon for $18.99.
What it looks like when you open the box |
Out of the box |
The back of the brush (You can see where you would charge it) |
The charger and pamphlet |
The full pamphlet |
If you turn the brush over you'll see that the bottom part is where you put the chord to charge it. I only used this for two months and I never had to charge it. You'll also notice that unlike the Foreo it doesn't have the anti-aging back to it. I'm only 19 so I didn't think that was necessary to me anyways.
The pamphlet that comes with the brush is very small and I can barely see the words. I had to squint and put it up close to my face if I wanted to know how to use it. When you turn the brush on it will stay on for one minute and it will pause for 15 seconds to let you know to move to a different part of your face.
When I used this with my Juice Beauty cleanser it didn't foam up like it normally did if I had used my hands or a brush. I figured that was normal since it isn't a typical brush and continued to use it for two months. Now when you first use any type of cleansing brush or tool your face will most likely purge because you're getting a deep clean. Unfortunately I broke out longer than normal and the brush wasn't helping my skin at all. I knew it was my cleanser or any of my products because I had been using them before I bought the brush so I figured it had to be the brush.
I should've stopped using this after a month but I wanted to see if anything else would change. Nothing changed and my skin was only getting worse so I had to stop using it. Thankfully this was only $18 so it wasn't a huge loss for me but I was still disappointed since people had raved about it.
Pros:
Rechargeable
Battery lasts a long time
No need to change brush head
Has three speeds
It was affordable
Cons:
It made me break out for loner than expected

I would also like to remind everyone that before crossing this off your list entirely please remember that everyone's skin is different so it may work for you! I'm planning on trying this again in a few months to see if it will be better on skin and if it does work I will let you guys know!

Question of the day: What is your favorite cleansing tool?
That's a very interesting product. I'm curious as to how you use it. Do you just scrub your face with it? Please reply, I really want to know!!

Yes you put it on your face! You wet your face put the cleanser on and then turn on the tool. Then you use the tool on your face and scrub it in circular motions ^^

DeleteTurn on your Facial Cleansing Brush and gently touch your face and move the brush in circular motions. Don't apply too much pressure. The bristles do the work for you so there is no need to apply pressure.
