The 30-Day Minimalism Challenge - Day 25

Hi everyone, today's challenge is to leave a whole day unplanned! So I actually had part of day planned with my friends, but some of it didn't go the way I had in mind (none of it bad). I've been wanting to go rock climbing for a while now but I never wanted to go by myself, so I begged my friends to go. We finally went today and it was super exciting but before that I had to get ready.

My friend Anthony was suppose to get my other friend Jess and I at 10:30AM but he ended up getting us a little late. Then we had to drive over to Lincoln, RI to go to the rock climbing gym; since it's the closest one we have. In my mind I thought we would get there by 11:30AM the latest, but we forgot that there were parades today because it's Memorial Day. Because of the parades we had to go through a ton of neighborhoods to somehow get to the gym.
We eventually made it and when we got there we had to sign a waver and change our shoes. This was really exciting for me because I haven't rock climbed in about 10 years. When I was younger my family would go to Vermont in the summer and there was a place where you could rock climb. I find it fun and good exercise for your upper body!
There was a guy there that gave us a refresher course and the rules and after that he let us roam free. Jess and Anthony did pretty good at rock climbing, I think I did okay but it was hard because I'm a lot smaller than them so some of the rocks I couldn't reach as well :(
At first we thought we'd be at the gym until 2:00PM but our arms got super tired after an hour, which makes sense because it was our first time doing it the past few years. Anthony actually surprised us by telling us that we needed to go to the mall for himself and his mom. So by 1:00PM we left the gym and went to the mall for the different items.
Because we went to the mall for a purpose it wasn't as fun, which was fine, but it made me super tired and hungry. Since we worked out all three of us were feeling pretty good and we wanted to have something fresh and healthy to eat. I decided to Yelp places in Providence for healthy smoothies or for a nice cafe to go to. There's a cool juice bar that we found but because it was a holiday it was closed :( I may have forgotten that part so we ended up having to find somewhere random to park and then walk a few blocks to find it closed. It was good exercise though!
After that we dropped Jess off and Anthony and I went back to his house. We were super hungry and didn't know what to do with ourselves. Originally we planned on making vegan fried chicken but it's a lot of work and we wanted something fast. We ended up at Panera and got ourselves some kind of healthy dish.
I normally stay at Anthony's for the whole the day when I'm with him but we were both tired and I wanted to take a nap so he took me home. I was actually really glad about that because I had spent the last three day's with him and his family.
When I got home I saw my dad for a little while and then I went to my room. My mom and sister (she's finally home, yay!) went out shopping so I figured I'd take a small nap. That nap was not small, it was almost 2 1/2 hours long. When I woke up it was almost 6:00PM!
I went downstairs to find my whole family just chilling out; and then my dad told me to go to the grocery store with my mom. That ended up being longer than we expected because the people in front of us at the cash registers were taking forever. But it ended up being fun because it was a good time talking to my mom.
Even though part of my day was planned the rest was not and I think that I had fun! It was nice taking that long nap because I really needed it; also spending time with my mom was really cool too! Although I am a little disappointed that I didn't make vegan fried chicken with Anthony, it was nice going home and seeing my family!
Tomorrow's challenge is to identify our stress triggers!
