Hi everyone, so my first "real" post will be about this 30-day minimalism challenge I happened to see on tumblr one day. I was just scrolling down on my dashboard and I saw this and thought it was a really good idea. Some challenges that I've come across seem like they're asking a lot of you but this one in particular is something I thought I could handle.
Question of the day: What relaxes you?
So for every day they ask you to complete one thing, not hard right? You'd be surprised how hard some of these things actually are, for example staying offline for one whole day! You might think that's easy but trust me it's not.
Now for the first day and second day I switched since I knew I would be writing this post online today and I had multiple essays to hand in online too. So the first day (for me) is to meditate for 15 minutes.
To be quite honest it was a little hard for me. I kept thinking "when will this be over so I can move on with my day". DO NOT DO THAT! That only makes it worse!!!
My suggestion is to make sure you have some soft calming music on to relax you. I went on youtube and searched up meditation music and found something I liked.
When you meditate make sure your phone is away from you and that you're away from any people. Close your eyes and breathe in slowly and deeply. Try to get rid of any thoughts you may have and just relax. By the end of this you should feel calm and happy.
If you do this everyday even just for five or ten minutes you should be feeling a lot better especially if you're feeling overwhelmed!
I hope you enjoyed today's minimalism challenge post, and don't forget tomorrow is to stay offline!
I'll be writing the post about this late tomorrow night!
