Hey everyone, today's challenge is to create a relaxing bedtime routine ^^ I'm not even in my twenties yet (or even older) and I already feel like an old lady that needs to go to bed at 8 every night. Most nights I go to sleep around midnight but if I'm talking to a friend(s) then it's much much later.
The first thing I like to do is stretch a little just so my muscles can be a little more relaxed and then I change into my pj's. My pj's consist of me wearing my workout clothes to bed so I don't have to change for when I go on my run in the morning (can you say lazy?).
After that I normally go into the bathroom to wash up and I tend to stay in their for 10-15 minutes on average. It might seem long but it's important that my face is clean and that I take care of those gross pimples! Then I normally drink some tea (normally green tea but I'm on the skinny teatox right now) and do one sudoku puzzle just to keep my mind active. Then I brush my teeth and head off to bed.
While in bed I normally write my blog post (like tonight) and listen to some calming music. After that I talk to my friends to see what they're up to and sometimes we Skype to catch up a little.
When I finally get tired enough I put my sleeping mask on and I end up falling asleep in the next 15-20 minutes.
I find when you take it easy at night and try to relax it's easier to fall asleep. Also on average for teenagers we are suppose to sleep 8-9 hours a day. It may seem unrealistic because we're always doing projects and homework, but if you schedule your time wisely you sleep way more, trust me!
Tomorrow's challenge is to go bare-faced!

Question of the day: How do you get ready for bed?
