The 30-Day Minimalism Challenge - Day 4

Hey all, so today's the fourth day of the minimalism challenge! Today it's no-complaint day, now I know most of us never complain (riiiiiiiight?) so it should be totally easy! I honestly try not to complain because it gets on my parents nerves and they have enough to deal with in their lives. And when I do complain it's because I'm either hungry or tired and have had enough.

To not complain I made sure I kept myself busy with things I generally enjoy doing, like shopping! I woke up this morning and told myself I was going to go to the supermarket to buy some healthy snacks for myself and go to Kohl's to buy some new sportswear and shoes. After my morning routine I noticed my parents were gone and called my mother to ask where they were and when they were coming home. You see although I'm 18 and will be 19 in a month.....I can't drive so I need my mother to cart me around! I FINALLY got my permit a couple of weeks ago (thanks to my best friends bringing me) but I'm seriously afraid of driving >.<
Anyways my mom was at my grandparents house and was going to leave shortly BUT she wanted to fix up her flower garden today. I asked her if I could go out because I needed some different things and that I wanted to go to Kohl's and she said that her coupon had expired (I really needed the 30% off). That's when I started to complain a little and stated that I didn't know that and she never said anything. I realized what I was doing and stopped myself and then asked if we could just go to the supermarket instead.
My parents got home and then me and my mom were off on our store adventure! On our way I mentioned that I wanted some more sport bra's since I only have a few good ones. She agreed and we went to Marshalls, where I found two cute sport bra's and two regular bras for a great price!
I also mentioned I wanted a new pair of sneakers since my other one's were really gross from work. I checked some out but they were too expensive (and they didn't really have Nike's).
Then we went to our local Stop&Shop so I could pick up some granola bars for my breakfast and snacking needs. We ended up buying a lot more than granola bars and we got a lot of different healthy foods. I had a lot of fun and I ended up getting like four boxes of Special K bars because this nice lady gave me coupons :)
When we got home I ate with my parents, which was super nice because we're normally so busy I never see them at the same time (especially my dad). Then I offered to help my mom out with her flower garden since it was such a nice day out and I didn't want her to have to do it by herself. While I was waiting for my mom to get ready my dad went and got the mail, and guess what came in.....MY SKINNY TEATOX !!!!!
I was able to buy two 28-day teatoxes because they were having a "BOGO", and it only costed me about $48 plus shipping. After getting my teatox I honestly thought nothing could go wrong today ^^
Look at that beauty *heart eyes* I'll be posting my progress throughout this teatox and a detailed review when I'm done!
After all my excitement I went to help my mom do some gardening....which was actually the worse part of my day to be quite honest. I didn't mind pulling up grass and dirt for my mom it's what happened during that time. My stomach started feeling funny and I felt disgusting... that's when I knew I got it... my period.
The whole time before that I kept thinking to myself, "Why am I in so much pain? Will I ever get over this? Why me?", I knew I was complaining but any girl knows that it's a horrible feeling and you can't help it. I ended up going inside to take some medicine and then I went back out to continue helping my mom. Unfortunately I didn't last for very long even after taking medicine and I went back inside to rest.
After resting for a bit I went with my mom the pick up my exchange student and then quickly went back home. I decided to exercise so I did some zumba for around 40 minutes. I felt really good and happy after that workout ^^ After exercising I feel like I'm on top of the world (thanks to those endorphins).
I had a pretty good dinner to be honest, my dad made some food on the grill and although it wasn't the healthiest it made me pretty happy. I was in such a good mood I even put away the clean dishes and cleaned up after everyone so my mom could relax!
I actually just got out of the shower a little while a go and whenever I clean my face at night I pamper it a little more than in the morning ^^
But yes, that's how my day went today! It was such a good day because I made it to be; I looked at the positive and I stayed active. I did complain once or twice and that's normal but you shouldn't do it where it completely puts your mood down and everyone else's.
Tomorrow's challenge is to identify your three to six main priorities!
